Two different structures will be presented and discussed, which involve: (1) slotted ground plane antenna with CSRR, and (2) slotted patch antenna with CSRR. The measured results show the patch antenna associated with CSRR is resonating at different frequencies. The measured reflection coefficients and bandwidths were compared with the simulation results using HFSS, and a frequency multi-band was identified from the measurements values. It has been noticed that the metamaterial considerably enhances the bandwidth and gain of the patch antenna.
