Summary:There is a concern about understanding the violence phenomenon in its backgrounds, contexts and ways, so that preventive actions can be implemented and, where possible, eliminated from social life. This article is about an integrative review that intents to analyze the Latin American Literature about violence against children and young people inside school and family under nursing view, identify the environment where violence against children and young has its origin, find out the environment where this violence is revealed by the juvenile, and what are the actions developed by nursing on this issue. A general characterization of knowledge production is presented, as well as the main environments in which violence originates and how does it present itself. We conclude that the school environment is a priority in the identification of violence and the family atmosphere in the origin of violence against children and young people. It is evident the need for training and updating professional team of health and education area in order to help fight the problem.
