The process of internationalization of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Asuncion as a strategy for generating opportunities

The present work was carried out with the objective of gathering information about the beginnings of the internationalization of the Faculty of Economic Sciences (FCE) and the capitalization of experiences that allowed to point to the academic excellence in the process of training of students and graduates of the house of studies. The investigation initially covered the documentary modality referring to the revision of the agreements and agreements signed with the various universities abroad. Then we proceeded to the descriptive and explanatory modality in relation to the identification of each framework agreement of academic collaboration subscribed to finally resort to qualitative-quantitative research for the collection, processing and construction of a historical database of students and teachers mobilized in the various academic programs of the FCE. The data showed that the FCE sent students in greater proportion to universities in Germany and the United States. In terms of mobilized foreigners, of all the students who took courses in the FCE, half of the students came from Mexican universities, followed by Argentina and Germany
