Summary: | In order to emphasize the idea of uniformity and uniformization of cultures, some francophone authors make use of concepts such as "world literature", "everyone", or "universalism". During the latest decades, in the Caribbean francophone literature, one can observe a rebounding militating more for a symmetry between cultures rather than for the parallelisms harboured for a long time by the colonial hegemonic writers. They open thereby a new path susceptible to get off the colonial societies from successive impasses and aperies through the process of negation of indigenous values. The writing form of the native culture tends to bring back into attention the importance of ancestral values. It can also be perceived as a resistance, even resilience to multiple identity invasions expressing a will-o'- the wisp, a generator of huge identity stakes. This works aims to bring out the cultural structures that become the lodes of the writing, being reinforced as an indispensable reading grid. |
