The main aim of the article is revising current oiconym etymologic versions as well. In the article the origin of the prepositive composite part Kram- phonetically and semantically grounded in connection with the Psl. *kъrma / *kъrmъ ‘curvature, bend, unevenness, jut’. Also given some probable oiconym Kramatorsk semantic motivators – geographic terms as the designations of topographic and hydrographic country peculiarities. Various materials, covering several senturies, have been investigated in the given work.
