Description
Summary:This article aims to discuss the poem "O mundo, o novo mundo," the paulista poet Péricles Eugênio da Silva Ramos (1919-1992), from some ideas proposed by Roman Jakobson in his essay "Poesia da gramática e gramática da poesia". We believe that the essay of Jakobson can give us a fresh look at the poem, extending aspects of reading that often remain asleep. So we hope to raise pertinent questions to literary and poetic studies, such as the use of recurring grammatical structures in order to express poetic imagery, and grammatical structures that bring in its wake some of the way of thinking of the poet; also to demonstrate how the pace often to be permanent, requires grammatical patterns that allow their return back.
