Description
Summary:This paper presents analytical expressions of the class-E/Fn inverter with generality. The characteristics of the class-E/F2 and class-E/F3 inverters can be comprehended in a theoretical manner by using the analytical expressions. In-depth investigations are provided in terms of the power output capability. By investigating the entire parameter spaces, the design strategy for achieving high power output capability is given. In addition, the characteristics of the class-Φ2 and class-Φ3 inverters, which are special modes of the class-E/F2 and class-E/F3 inverters, respectively, are shown. The experimental and PSpice-simulation results agreed with analytical predictions quantitatively, which showed the validities of the analytical expressions and characteristic investigations in this paper.
