This paper studies symbolic interaction of preacher and the audience in accepting and reputing the message by audience of Jamaah Tabligh in Padang City. By means of phenomenological approach to study Jamaah Tabligh activities is perceived very relevant and combined with ethnomethodological theory. The result of the research shows that audience of the Padang city accepts the message of the Jamaah Tabligh due to the ideology and faith, its persuasive approach, interesting language and without taking divergence of opinion into account. On the other hand, some community of Padang city reputes the preaching in view of it being fatalistic, denial of wordly affairs and a rather sympathetic character.http://jurnalmiqotojs.uinsu.ac.id/index.php/jurnalmiqot/article/view/31daimad‘uinteraksi simbolikJamaah TablighPadang
