On the basis of descriptions of life experience in concentration camp (by V.Frankl) and in blockade Leningrad (by L.Ginzburg) the author conducts phenomenological research of this mental state, marks out its basic characteristics, compares the phe-nomenon of catalepsy to experiences of loss of a continuity of living.
