Description
Summary:This paper presents a review of Henri Baulig’s heritage, archives and manuscripts. H. Baulig’s international fame in geomorphology has contributed to the Geographical Institute of Strasbourg’s fame as well. His ideas are mainly influenced by W. M. Davis. And two types of inventories help to understand his ideas. On the one hand, the inventories of his handwritten notes, which are actually stored in the Geographical Institute of Strasbourg   on the other hand, the exhaustive bibliographical inventories. Comparing these two inventories enlightens us about H. Baulig’s biography, allowing us to define the implications of his work in Strasbourg city, and to clarify the evolution of his thought. This paper aims to provide a tool for researchers both in geography and history.
