Summary:Regarding the increase of population in today’s world and turning cities into industrial places, the need for a management system is felt to compile principles and approaches related to this development. On the other hand, as a category of management science, urban management should pay attention to ecology as one of the most important parts  affective city structure that creates a desirable environment for the residents.  <br />The present article is the result of a research which is conducted with the main goal to study the effective factors in compiling suitable and effective approaches for development in urban management system. The research was conducted by survey method with comparative framework. The information was gathered from documents, observations, interviews and questionnaires with Likert scale. The statistical population was the residents of Tabriz with the sample size of 260, and testing the hypotheses was done using t-student method. The findings of the research explain that the role of urban management is effective and important to fight against the negative effects of day-by-day increase of population and industrialization through orderly planning, providing suitable capitation, conducting public training, creating public contribution and paying attention to the future development of the city. <br />
