The national regulations of the NPMW took place in 2008; however, due to the Brazilian federative agreement, the compliance with the legislation depends on local governments. This implied a wide mobilization of the teacher unions so that the definition of the remuneration incorporated the national rule. The scenario of institutional crisis installed in 2015, followed by a restrictive economic agenda for social rights, has put at risk the set of hard-won conditions for the valorization of teachers. Thus, this paper maps the remuneration conditions with data from the Annual Social Information Report (known as RAIS) for the year 2016 as a result of struggles and context for new struggles based on the case of teachers in the state of Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, in order to analyze how recent attacks on workers’ rights affect teachers.http://www.revistas2.uepg.br/index.php/praxiseducativa/article/view/12414/209209210548Education policyRemuneration of teachersNPMW
