Summary:In a changing and increasingly demanding environments the integration of management systems in organizations is a competitive advantage. This study aims to generate an approach for integrating management systems (quality, safety, health and environment) that can be applied in the oil sector service organizations. Sector information to understand the environment of companies providing services in the oil sector, the value chain in the production of hydrocarbons and the main activities of the oil services sector in Colombia is obtained; requirements are reviewed for quality, safety, health and environment of the two major contracting companies in the hydrocarbon sector and models of integration of management systems are reviewed. In addition officials responsible for six companies serving the sector are interviewed and finally with the results obtained the GOLD model (Gestión Organizacional con Liderazgo Directivo - Organizational Management with Senior Leadership) is proposed as a mechanism to facilitate the integration of management systems in service organizations hydrocarbons sector. The GOLD model is based on the leadership and support of senior management and organizational management that seeks to understand the environment and the political, economic, social, technological, and environmental factors that present opportunities, threats and risks to the organization. The leadership evolution that has taken in the sector of services and guidelines for the development of integrated management system (IMS) are indicated.
