The methodology consists of a documentary review on the EPL and the dynamics of the Libardo Mora Front in the Catatumbo region. Regarding the perception of the citizens of Ocaña, 385 random surveys were applied to adults distributed in the communes, inquiring about the perception of the EPL, the viability of peace dialogues and the vision of Catatumbo in the future as a region in peace. The results were the recognition of the EPL as a guerrilla by the citizens, the need to open peace talks and the hope to build a peaceful Catatumbo.
