Summary: | This summer, the French legal system protected illegal cruelty committed by farmers. What should be a fundamental right for all citizens, the right to denounce illegality, was instead gagged. It was thus decided that economic interests take precedence over the rights of animals and consumers. This is the state of the law defended by two interim orders of 9 and 16 July 2013. They sentenced the association L214 with a fine of around 400 Euros and prohibiting it from broadcasting a video denouncing the illegality of two laying-hen factory farms. |
