 </style> <![endif]--> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-family: "Times","serif";" lang="EN-US">Abstract (E)</span></strong><span style="font-family: "Times","serif";" lang="EN-US">: The essay focuses on cultural translation of cinematic emotion in Vishal Bhardwaj’s <em>Omkara </em>(2006).<span>  </span>By analyzing Bhardwaj’s use of filmic micro-genres of religious ritual, concept, and story through visual imagery and music, we see how <em>Omkara </em>alludes to the history of Indian and non-Indian film and much like the way Shakespeare’s drama does with an array of other texts. En analysant la manière dont Bhardwaj se sert de certains microgenres cinématographiques des rites religieux et comment il en articule le concept et l’histoire à travers les images et la musique, nous démontrons qu’Omkara se réfère à l’histoire du cinéma indien mais aussi non-indien de la même façon que le théâtre de Shakespeare renvoie à toute une panoplie d’autres textes. Plus spécifiquement, l’article regarde de plus près la manière dont Bhardway rattache le thème de l’amour tragique au thème de la violence dans la plus grande démocratie du monde.</span></p>
