Description
Summary:The authors present a critical reading of a new kind of object: the Allô Place Beauvau? website. Allô Place Beauvau? is a deliberate challenge to the media treatment of police violence in France based on a new form of event construction. The analysis is in three parts. The first resituates the Allô Place Beauvau? project in its journalistic and editorial context. The second is a description of its editorial mechanism. The third is a critical analysis of the approach of that project, presented as an anti-event.
