The evolution and popularity of the pastoral genre in Renaissance Europe, linked to Orpheus and its fictional world, shows an enhancement of the pastoral universe that could be understood as a transmedia narrative which could be read and enjoyed today if every asset related to it were digitally tagged under the principle of the internet of things.
