Summary: | The presentation of two research projects by the Pacivur (American Programme for Training and Research on Vulnerability and Risks in Urban Environments) team from Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD), led between 1999 and 2004 in Quito, and between 2010 and 2011 in Lima, shows how the involvement can come in a variety of forms, highly complementary to each other. It is a question of conducting scientific research to operational aim, of facilitating the access to data, or of restoring the knowledge created in the framework of a research project. |
