Recuperación de la sensibilidad en áreas anestésicas de pacientes parapléjicos utilizando transferencias nerviosas

Surgical procedures for sensory recovery in paraplegics are the best way to avoid occurrence of pressure sores. We performed an anatomic study in corpses, to evaluate different ways of neurotization of the lateral thigh cutaneous nerve, employing the intercostal and medial brachial cutaneous nerve a...

We performed an anatomic study in corpses, to evaluate different ways of neurotization of the lateral thigh cutaneous nerve, employing the intercostal and medial brachial cutaneous nerve as donors. We described the anatomic variations of the nerves as well as the surgical maneuvers to make the procedure easier. To use the medial brachial cutaneous nerve of the forearm as donor makes the procedure easier and shows sorne advantages in front of the use of intercostal nerves: could be performed in patients with higher sensory levels (C8- TI), this nerve is richer in sensitive fibers and its posterior division could be used to bridge the gap between donor and receptor nerves. We report two patients with recovery of sensibility in the territory of the thigh lateral cutaneous nerve, by neans of the procedure described above.https://revistas.unal.edu.co/index.php/revfacmed/article/view/19426úlceras por presióntransferencia nerviosaneurotizacióntratamiento quirúrgico
