Summary:The conducted research aimed to explore problems related to Syrian students attending primary schools and to offer suggestions within the frame of school principals’ opinions. The study group of the research was composed of 12 school principals selected from school principals and assistant principals currently working in schools of Kilis in 2018-2019 education year, with the criterion sampling method. Research data was collected with semi structured interview forms. Before the preparation of interview form, literature review was carried out and the studies were examined. As a result of the reviews, the interview form for the determination of problems related to the education of Syrian students in primary schools was developed. Descriptive analysis was performed for the data analysis. After the analysis of collected data, the problems related to Syrian students observed by school principals within the educational semester were investigated under 5 categories named culture, individual situation, family, physical obstructions and educational process that include 19 codes. In case the suggested practices are to be implemented in a reasonable extent, it is safe to say that problems related to Syrian students may be moderated and a more positive atmosphere might be formed in schools.
