The main social services for seniors are residential centers, home care services and day centers. The aim of the paper is to present the models of good practice of social services for the elderly in Romania, and the research aims at mapping social services for the senior citizens in Romania and identifying models of good practice in terms of the following analysis indicators: type of service provider; typology of the social service; category of activities carried out; elements of novelty and originality of the analyzed services. The methods used in the research were: analysis of the case study documents, comparative analysis of the mentioned indicators. The results highlighted the implications and role of social services on beneficiaries and communities.
