Summary: | The article describes influence of modern information technologies on various processes in academic services. Improving the latter ones requires serious restructuring of management system at higher educational establishments, and first of all chair management system.Structural components of chair management system are examined: chair's educational portal, electronic chair management system and adaptive distance learning program.The main functional tasks of the chair management system are: formation of chair's knowledge database, electronic document turnover, management of the chair's scientific activities, educational process management, control of students' academic performance, marketing activities.Elements composition of distant learning adaptive system (ASDO) is given. This system includes blocks of educational process management based on calendar planning and curricula; course library of various academic materials to be delivered to students; block knowledge control for evaluating academic results based on tests and individual tasks; students' cooperation support and communication instruments. Monitoring block is an important element of ASDO.The article provides interesting analysis of certain signs of distant learning adaptive system received upon its implementation to the academic process.Webinars organized with the help of web technologies are very important for further development of ASDO, as they allow to involve wide audience, make events more effective and reactions faster.
