Summary: | In the perspective of contribution to History didactic, this article chooses to think about a practice of academic history in elementary school, by relying on extracts of class’ lessons. The study of the notions of Orient and Occident, considered here as ambiguous disciplinary contents, allows to think about the construction, by the teacher and elementary school’ students, of the meaning given to these contents, and the tenseness generated. The findings that emerge are positioned in relation with the purposes and the practices of school history in the elementary school. This allows to move forward on the proposition of identification of a core of academic subject history, from the study of its variations. |
