Description
Summary:Sensitization occurs when an Rh-negative mother is exposed to Rh-positive fetal red blood cells during pregnancy in 1% of  cases and after delivery in 10% of cases, when fetal antigens enter mother’s circulation [1, 2]. A major cause of HDN is an incompatibility of the Rh blood group between the mother and fetus. The article substantiates the necessity of prophylaxis of rhesus sensitization after surgical correction of istmicocervical insufficiency.
