Description
Summary:The discussions about sustainable development are an ongoing task that demands constant studies and information about the phenomenon. In this context, this article evaluates the sustainable development of the municipalities of the southwest of Paraná, seeking to measure the Sustainable Development Index (IDS). To meet this proposal, this research used the Dashboard of Sustainability, using a secondary database from official sources such as the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics and Institute for Economic and Social Development of Paraná. As results, the low Sustainable Development Indices obtained by the municipalities of the Southwest region of Paraná stand out. Among the c onclusions of this research are the low dimensional values (Environmental, Economic, Social and Institutional) that make up the IDS_Total of each municipality, besides the inequality of sustainable development observed among the municipalities.
