Summary: | In recent years, sodium ion batteries (SIBs) have become a research hotspot with their unique advantages, and are expected to become the next generation of commercially available energy storage devices. Due to high theoretical specific capacity, stable structure and low cost, the polyanionic orthosilicate compounds Na2MSiO4 (M = Fe, Mn, Co and Ni) have gradually become the research focus on SIBs materials. In this paper, the first principles study, the preparation methods, electrochemical research progress of Na2MSiO4 are reviewed. The possible research and development direction of Na2MSiO4 is prospected. |
