Description
Summary:<div>Two new species of calcareous algae (Dasycladaceae) are described.</div><div>One - Salpingoporella croatica n. sp. -is characterized by a clyindrical</div><div>skeleton and undivided, phloiophorous to partly vesiculiferous</div><div>rarnifications, arranged in whorls. The other species- Uragiella ragusina</div><div>n.sp. - also has a cylindrical thallus and ramifications arranged in</div><div>whorls. The shape of the ramifications, however, varies from nodular</div><div>or tubercular to atypically pyriform and more rarely, to the Uragiellatype.</div><div>The ramifications are often deformed, which is particulary visible</div><div>in more distal tangential sections. Both species are found in the same</div><div>sample which belongs, chronostratigraphically, to the Upper Dogger.</div>
