Trump went on to say “People are really surprised I understand this stuff … Maybe I have a natural ability.” This was followed by a series of White House briefings where Trump and members of his White House Coronavirus Task Force spoke on the COVID-19 pandemic. Trump tried to dominate these conferences and repeatedly lied about the coronavirus pandemic and the country’s preparation for this once-in-a-generation crisis.
