Description
Summary:This research exposes the reality of orientalism, starting with the relationship between Islam and the west, and talked about the role of Muslim scholars in response to the suspicions of the orientalists. Further, It also talked about Shibli Nomani and his methods of writing which he used in his books, specially “Sirat –un- Nabi”.Furthermore, it discusses about the circumstances that lead the author to write this book. The book mainly was a response to the orientalists. He made sure that he responded to them boldly and courateously, but in a polite and respectful manner. Shabli presented Profit's Sira without any increase or descease and without any exaggeration, and this was the strongest response to the orientalists who had vaunted him. Shibli Nomani followed his teacher Jamal Uddin Afghani who believed to avail the new methods to study the Islam without changing any of its principles, and combined the new and old sciences together.
