Summary: | As several inventories has noted it before, SIC have taken more time to consider gendered issues. We can underline several reasons to explain this situation, including those related to the history of the SIC, of gender studies, and their search for legitimacy for the first, and for the other, by the political and social context in which dominant republican universalism. However, the heuristic interest in renewal perspective allowed by this concept could be shown. We propose in this article, a reflection on the ways in which research SIC builds the link between gender and news. We focus on the difficulty to think of sexual and gendered patterns in their complexity, we discuss the "routines" of research in terms of purpose, perspective and method, and finally we ask questions about the researcher’s positions in terms of political affiliations social, gendered, sexual orientations and their impact on the process of knowledge production.
