Method: The research is a descriptive type of research. Marmara University Haydarpaşa Campus Faculty of Medicine Basic Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, School of Nursing and Faculty of Law between December 2013 and April 2014 between the lecturers was carried out. A total of 225 lecturers were surveyed and completed the research. The faculty members of the Marmara University Haydarpaşa Campus were asked to questions by face to face survey and the height and weight were measured and the body mass indexes of the students were calculated as weight (kg) / height (m²). Findings: Of the 225 lecturers in the research group, 66.2% (149) were female and 33.8% (76) were female. 6.7% of the participants were obese. Obesity rates are similar between men and women, 6.7% of obese women are women, and 6.6% are obese. (P <0.001).The highest rate of obesity is in the Faculty of Pharmacy (9.6%), which is lower by 3.7% in Faculty of Medicine (p <0.05).It was found that 72% of the participants skipped meals. In terms of meals; The Faculty of Medicine has a participation rate of 77.4% with more meals than the other departments (p> 0.05).The obesity rate (4.4%) was lower in smokers than in non-smokers (7.2%) (p> 0.05).In alcohol-drinking participants (8.5%), more obesity was seen compared to non-drinkers (5.3%) (p> 0.05).The rate of obesity in chronic patients (7.8%) was significantly higher than those without chronic diseases (6.7%) (p <0.01).Obesity was seen in 7.9% of the participants when they were administered once, while those who applied twice in the diet were more likely to have obesity (p> 0.05).While those working in the field of health were the group with the highest daily calories (1388.9 ± 332.65) and fat intake (68.5 ± 26.02), those working in the field of law had the lowest daily calories (1282.5 ± 326.44) and fat intake (57,8 ± 17,85). (P> 0.05). Conclusion: While lecturers in the health field have the highest daily calorie and fat intake, those working in the Faculty of Law have the lowest daily calorie and fat intake. 6.7% of the lecturers were obese and the highest proportion of obesity; Education at the Faculty of Pharmacy (9,6%).
