Summary:Gaston Bachelard´s conception of drawers, present in his text "The poetics of space", in which furniture is a metaphor for memory and intimate space, is the starting point of the actions reported in this text. The concept "Drawer" is extended to cultural artifacts, as a repository and continent of sentimental, cultural, individual, collective values, and to museums, because they are the great repositories of memory, above all guarding the values of an elite. Due to the hegemonic value of what is exhibited in museums, the text presents a brief history of the process of the emergence of educational actions as an attempt to democratize access to these cultural assets. The individual and collective memory is also presented as a thematic category of contemporary artistic creation and as the conductor of the plastic production of students in the module Educational Action in Cultural Spaces (UDESC, 2016).
