4-Oxo-2,4-diphenylbutanenitrile

The title molecule, C16H13NO, is twisted, the dihedral angle between the terminal phenyl rings being 68.40&#8197;(6)&#176;. In the crystal, C&#8212;H...O and C&#8212;H...N interactions lead to supramolecular layers in the bc plane.
