In the studies about Spanish migrations, the regional approach gained an unexpected weight. Its application, in some cases in an uncritical way, led to a group of problems, on which researchers have not reflected enough yet. In this work we will try to make clear the relative or objected pertinence of the regional scale in the exam of the Spanish migrations abroad. We will take a particular case : the Galician emigration to Argentina during the mid 20th century.
