Summary:One of the objectives of the adjudication of forest and land fire dispute is to restore the burned forests and land. However, evidencing aspect of forest and land fire cases in the judicial settlement is often challenging and the scientific evidence is sought. This normative legal research analyses court verdicts in a forest and land fire case qualitatively. It aims to describes the role of scientific evidence to the proof process in the adjudication that lead to the court verdict for environmental recovery of burned forests and land. Scientific evidence in the form of scientific studies and expert opinion admitted by the court has a role in proving land and forest fire occurrence, environmental damage and loss, and the causality element of the case.
