| Summary: | This article deals with supervision in clinical psychology that is distinct from pedagogical practice in psychology. The objective is to expand the reflection about supervision, the role of the supervisor and the training of psychotherapists from the perspective of supervision in the methodology of transactional analysis. Supervision is about a process of professional development that must qualify the skills of the trainee, develop those that are lacking and expand their potential to achieve professional success, since the construction of psychotherapeutic knowledge is not limited to theoretical content and must include training practical skills, professional posture and ethics.
