Mounting the cast on the articulator in the appropriate position is an operator sensitive procedure, able to reduce the chairside and laboratory time involved. There is little evidence available on the accuracy, validity and reproducibility of articulator mounting of models (Tamaki et al, 1997; Celar et al, 1999).
