Exponentially-enhanced quantum sensing with non-Hermitian lattice dynamics

Non-Hermitian effects can be used to enhance the parameter sensitivity of a system and thus improve metrology applications. Here, the authors present an asymmetric non-Hermitian tight-binding chain where the quantum Fisher information increases exponentially with the system size.
