Description
Summary:Using public materials (articles, open-file reports of geological survey at the Severnye Uvaly, and digital elevation models), we studied river valleys of the Severnye Uvaly Upland and established specific types of gold placer-like occurrences and interconnection between river valley structure and placer location. We distinguished 4 cycles of erosion in Late Cenozoic at the Severnye Uvaly. For placer forming, the one of the most important features is a spatial coincidence of valleys in every cycle of erosion. An analysis of the longitudinal and transverse profiles of the valleys according to the DSM allows evaluating the content of the gold and its location in the river valley.
