Summary:In this paper, we have been measured the current-voltage characteristics (CVC) of a tunnel junction of the tungsten-gold by scanning tunneling microscope (STM) «Umka-02-G». In addition, the factors were described of the tunnel system which may influence to the form of CVC on the example of a model system of tungsten-gold on the physical processes occurring in the probe tip voltage increases and could lead to a change in the length of the probe in particular.
