Thus, this study aimed to analyze the use of BPM in a Technical Support Section for Education, Research and Extension of a public college with focus on the potential for improvement that a critical process might have by using this technique. The application of BPM in the International Relations Office of a Collegey comes up against bureaucratic impediments that hinder its implementation and also interfere with the agility of the process. However, the BPM has been shown to be applicable as a management tool and process improvement tool in public offices. In an initial application cycle, it was found that the principal gain is time reduction (from 46 to 15 days) and better coordination of activities.
