Summary:The present article is meant to pay homage and gratitude of the memory to the great Teacher, Mentor, Supervisor, Scholar in musicology of the Republic of Moldova, who had been educated and had also conveyed to his followers the distinguished traditions of the Conservatoires from Chisinau and Moscow. The author speaks about his teaching style, scientific and administrative work. He was severe to students, solicitous to post-graduate students, tactful to subordinates, an indefatigable toiler in every field offered by his profession, that was deeply marked by his presence. The influence of his way of working with his disciples, performers or musicologists, teachers or research scientists is also discussed in this article.
