Summary:Theological research on the problems and challenges of society is severely limited in its broad application. To a much greater extent, this applies to theological research on the Bulgarian village and the religious life in it. Contrary to the general scientific attitude, an interdisciplinary project, with a leading direction in theology, try to reach the spiritual, religious and cultural life of the population of four villages and two monasteries in the Vidin region. The reason for the realization of the project is deeply personal, but at the same time it is an open challenge for the manifestation of different thinking and action.
