Summary: | A theoretical justification and computation of the optimum values of the two longitudinal tilt angles of a small-scale linear Fresnel reflector is provided. The optimum angle of the mobile structure is proved to be half the latitude of the geographic location, while the optimum angle of the secondary reflector system is proved to be equal to that latitude. Brute-force verification is carried out for five EU cities, each in one of the five European climate zones. |
