Summary:Most of the Bartholin&#x2032;s gland abscesses have been thought to be caused by colonizing micro-organisms of the perineal region. We encountered an interesting case of acute Bartholins abscess caused by <i> Streptococcus pneumoniae</i> in a primigravida. The abscess was incised and drained. The patient was treated with Cefuroxime. This case is presented for its rarity.
