Summary: | This study was done for the purpose of extracting the approaches and skills of anger- management based on Islamic teachings. The research type is fundamental one and the method used was descriptive-analytical and of library studies. The conclusion of the study contained: (a) providing three theoretical models of cognitive, cognitive-behavioral and transferring the effects of anger, (b) providing 14 skills for controlling anger, including: (1) patience and tolerance (self-regulation skill), (2) virtue (self-controlling skill), (3) forgiveness, (4) remembrance of death, (5) remembrance of God, (6) the changes in the body conditions (relaxation training), (7) saying prayers (positive mental review), (8) prostrating, (9) ablutions (connecting with the infinite), (10) silence (studying your part in creating anger), (11) beneficence towards parents, (12) elimination of hatred and enmity in yourself, (13) using of protective systems, and (14) paying attention to the principle of “whatever you choose for yourself, choose for the others”.
