Description
Summary:It was developed as a thesis of the Master Digital Exhibit of IUAV in Venice after the work experience of the authors at the Museo Civico di Bassano del Grappa, in collaboration with the Madrid-based company Factum Arte. Many museums all over the world have the problem of their heritage not entirely visible in their spaces. The not accessible cultural heritage could be visitable through digital tools in the following cases: if there is a preservation problem, where the conditions in which the works of art must be kept, can not be guaranteed in the museum rooms; if there is difficulty in fruition and fragility of artworks, which regards works like drawings or books; if artworks are not intact and stored in pieces and for some reasons cannot be physically recomposed. We took as a case study for this third category the plaster bust of Tersicore by Antonio Canova; we rebuilt it digitally and then make it accessible through an Android app for a touch screen.
