Description
Summary:Through the foucauldian's elaborations which links sexuality to subjectivity, this paper aims to bring a reflection on the fundamental concept of drive because it's a theoretical construct capable of marking the discontinuity of psychoanalysis in relation to the sexual science that produced, in modernity, a knowledge about sex as the truth of the subject. At first, we place the scientificist character of the nosographic model of psychiatry and then we draw attention to the distinctive aspect of the Freudian theory by the understanding of the field of drive through the eroticism. Finally, we emphasize the breadth of the conception about the sexual established by psychoanalysis that goes beyond reproductive and biological issues, considering it as a very relevant theory to analyze the new formats that sexuality has currently taken.
