I. ShebanovaE. ŁodygowskaThe article focuses attention on the necessity to consider the fundamentals of the phenomenon of adaptation as a holistic, integral formation in order to discuss the functioning of adaptive-compensatory mechanisms of corporeality and specific new formation. The appearance and development of the problem on eating behavior in the spectrum of «overeating – food restriction» as a problem of violation of mental and physical adaptation, notably as a problem of formation of various forms of eating maladaptations, are considered. It is suggested that the development of psychosomatic syndrome of eating behavior is realized in accordance with universal, general regularities of the process of adaptation and is the implementation of adaptive-compensatory and regulatory phenomena of corporeality. It has been substantiated that as the continuum of the problem eating behavior contains the subclinical and clinical manifestations of maladaptive eating behavior with a corresponding «productive» (positive) and «unproductive» (negative) symptomatology of corporeality, so the problem of eating maladaptations requires a qualitatively new approach, with the involvement of psychological, medical, cultural, social, pedagogical, spiritual activities as components of integrated complex.http://journals.uran.ua/index.php/2227-6246/article/view/156594/155988problem eating behaviordistortion of strategies of eating behavior in the spectrum of «overeating – food restriction»adaptive-compensatory processcorporealityspecific new formation.
